La Cresta Real Estate and Homes

If you are looking to purchase real estate or a home in an area that is quiet and peaceful with an equestrian, gentleman rancher ambiance, then you will certainly love La Cresta. Homeowners enjoy estate homes with room for guest houses, barns, RV garages and toy barns for the collector car enthusiasts as well as some of the finest horse trails in Southern California.

There are various factors that make La Cresta such a sublime community, not the least of which is its prime location at two thousand feet elevation and fifteen to eighteen miles from the Pacific Ocean as the crow flies. Though La Cresta is a very private community made up of five acre minimum parcels with extensive equestrian trails, it is far from being in the middle of nowhere. In fact, it is very close to many of Riverside County's excellent towns. About five minutes east is the private golf community of Bear Creek, and just a few minutes of driving south will bring you into the center of Murrieta. Drive for a few more minutes in the same direction and you'll reach the prosperous city of Temecula. The community is bounded by the Cleveland National Forest to the north and the California Ecological Reserve to the south creating a buffered retreat from civilization.

Come inside the beautiful and friendly rural community of La Cresta, California. Situated in the heart of the Santa Rosa Plateau in Riverside County, La Cresta is a simply fabulous place to live and invest. The community is secure, scenic and safe, yet it contains easy access to big-city amenities. A great feature of La Cresta's location is its proximity to some of California's major cities: Los Angeles, San Diego, and Palm Springs. Other cities are just over an hour away, and many airports and beaches are located near these cities as well. Living in your private and isolated home in La Cresta will make you feel like you are a million miles away from the rest of the world, but whenever you desire, you'll have easy access to all of California's many pleasures.

Truly, you don't have to venture for an hour to get the amenities you require. Just about everything you could want from a big city is located in Murrieta, which is only minutes away from La Cresta. There are many shopping centers and malls in the city, as well as two hospitals, various grocery and department stores, all sorts of restaurants, and more. If you can't find what you want there, you can likely find it in Temecula, home of the famous Temecula Wine Country. A variety of amenities and activities are available in these two cities, from music festivals to gyms to pools and dance clubs.

Yet another splendid aspect of La Cresta's location is the fact that many recreational activities are available within a minute's drive in the Santa Rosa Plateau area. Golf is the main recreational activity in the area, and as such you can find an abundance of golf courses within a short distance. Two of the best courses are the Cross Creek course and the Bear Creek course. The Bear Creek course is private and requires membership, but Cross Creek is public. There are many hiking trails of all varieties on the Plateau, from short and easy trails to long and rocky treks, as well as mountain bike trails. Horseback riding is also popular in the area, and since all of the real estate in La Cresta comes with at least 5 acres of land, you could ride and raise your own horses if you so choose.

But as fabulous as it is, the location is not the only spectacular feature of La Cresta. The scenic views of the area certainly add to the charm of the community. The area is home to much diversity in land, from large winding oaks and sycamores to sprawling hilly ranches and flat plains, as well as mountain views that are simply breathtaking.

The wildlife is also remarkable as well. Because of it's proximity to the Cleveland National Forest, you will be able to see all sorts of animals from the privacy of your own home. Some of the most commonly sighted animals include hawks, coyotes, golden eagles, owls, deer, raccoons and more.

The climate at La Cresta offers yet another perk. The climate and weather in the community is always sunny and warm with a bit of breezes to keep you cool. This mixture of warmth and breeze makes the climate rather desirable, and it is generally considered to be more pleasant than the hotter climate that exists in some other inland parts of California. The breezes are due mainly to La Cresta's elevation on the Santa Rosa Plateau and the fact that it is rather close to the Pacific Ocean. Though most of the residents in the area experience cool breezes, La Cresta is actually cooler than most due to the elevation of the community.

The nearby school district is also quite splendid. There are no schools in the community itself, but the nearby Murrieta districts have excellent schools which rank above average, and there are a number of private schools as well, so your children are sure to receive a fabulous education. La Cresta is a quiet, convenient and overall safe and stable community. For more information about buying in La Cresta, contact resident realty experts Scott and Barbara Walker at 951-253-4050.
